An Inventory and Stock Controller at Moments By Thuli would manage the tracking and availability of event-related items while also supporting the maintenance of furniture to ensure everything is event-ready.

Here's a breakdown of key responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of all items, including chairs, tables, decor pieces, lounge pockets, and other event furniture.
- Update inventory databases regularly to track item availability, usage, and condition.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks to account for wear, damages, or losses, identifying items in need of repair or replacement.
2. Stock Control and Ordering
- Track incoming deliveries to ensure items are received in good condition and match order specifications.
3. Event Preparation and Allocation
- Prepare item lists for each event based on requirements, ensuring that the correct items are selected, cleaned, and ready for transport.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure all items are properly packed for delivery.
- Oversee post-event returns, inspecting items for any damages and documenting any necessary repairs.
4. Furniture Maintenance
- Regularly inspect furniture and equipment to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Arrange for cleaning, minor repairs, and maintenance of items as needed to maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of furniture.
- Coordinate with repair vendors or perform minor maintenance to extend the lifespan of key pieces.
5. Damage and Loss Management
- Implement a system to assess and document damages or losses incurred during events.
- Arrange repairs or replacements promptly, updating inventory records to reflect item status.
- Work with the administrative team to apply charges for damaged or lost items according to company policies.

Requirements:

1. Experience in Inventory Management
-Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, or a similar role is essential.
-Familiarity with inventory management software and systems to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.
2. Attention to Detail
-Strong attention to detail is required to track stock levels accurately, monitor for damages, and assess the condition of furniture and decor.
-Ability to identify maintenance needs and act on them promptly to keep inventory in top shape.
3. Organisational Skills
-Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple items and maintain clear records of all rentals, returns, and maintenance needs.
4. Physical Stamina
This role can be physically demanding, requiring lifting, moving, and inspecting items for events. Physical stamina is necessary to manage these tasks safely.
5. Flexibility and Availability
Flexibility to work variable hours, as some events may require setup and breakdown outside typical working hours.
Availability to assist in emergency situations where replacements or adjustments are needed.
